Genjutsu schools

Six schools of illusion from the archive, all in the Genjutsu tab. They unlock like the other genjutsu trees. Each school opens with a "Perception" passive that helps see through that kind of illusion.

In short

Six schools of illusion in the Genjutsu tab: Figment, Glamour, Pattern, Phantasm, Shadow and Charm. Each opens with a Perception passive, and illusions only affect enemies unless they are meant to help.

  • Figment: false images and sounds. Decoys, phantom guardians, illusory walls and pits, and the Thousand Weapons of Death, which does real damage.
  • Glamour: changing how things look. Camouflage, displacement, frightening presence, veils of darkness and a whole false world.
  • Pattern: hypnotic lights and colours that daze, blind and paralyse crowds.
  • Phantasm: fears pulled from the victim's own mind. Stranglers and stalkers that really hurt, turning friend against foe, and Unreality.
  • Shadow: illusions given half a body. Shadow missiles, nets, claws, grapplers and the Shadow Beast.
  • Charm: warm, friendly illusions that calm fights, win foes over and can spread from one target to the next. Ally boosts like Heroes' Tale and Camaraderie help your own side.

Illusions only affect enemies unless they are meant to help.

  • Figment illusions: Figment Perception, Ghost Sound, Haze, Decoy Image, Phantom Guardians, Illusory Wall, Thousand Weapons of Death, Illusory Pit, Shifting Paths.
  • Glamour illusions: Glamour Perception, False Hope, Chameleon, Frightful Presence, Displacement, Blinding Colour Surge, Battle Through Pain, Dark Veil, Illusory World.
  • Pattern illusions: Pattern Perception, Dazzling Lights, Spots Before Your Eyes, Hypnotic Flower Storm, Double Vision, Rainbow Pattern, Doomtide, Cone of Paralysis, Maelstrom of Colour, Wall of Patterns.
  • Phantasm illusions: Phantasm Perception, Unnerving Gaze, Phantom Threat, Phantasmal Strangler, Awakened Fears, Eyes of Decay, Friend to Foe, Phantasmal Stalker, Death Dream, Unreality.
  • Shadow illusions: Shadow Perception, Shadow Missile, Net of Shadows, Shadow Claws, Shadow Spray, Shadow Form, Shadowy Grappler, Skittering Shadow, Shadow Beast.
  • Charm illusions: Charm Perception, Lesser Charm, Heroes' Tale, Stay the Hand, Captivate, Camaraderie, Crowd charm, Friendship, Charm Contagion.
